Birds are truly inspirational little creatures, that I’ve always found myself drawn to artistically, as well as feeling a natural inclination to include them in my decorating style.
I guess there is something about their innocent whimsical beauty, that captures me. The way they create a sweet little nest to cradle their precious eggs in, is a beautiful symbol of love and devotion. “The Nest” image is loved by many and used in the design world time and again for its lovely charming qualities.
I’ve been a collector of “Birds” almost unknowingly over the years, just naturally finding myself continually being drawn to them in many different forms. I believe the secret to their large fan base is simple, they make people “HAPPY”. They definitely make me happy!
I believe people are drawn to their sweet, innocent quality and the fact that they “Sing” to the world is the most wonderful gift that I can imagine! Several years ago, there was a boutique in Carmel-by-the-Sea called “Piccolo” who owned the sweetest singing “Finches”. I will never forget the magical lyrical quality of those birds voices, it was so unreal!
Inspiration can be found in so many ways, for me “Birds” have found their way into my “Whim Inspired World” and they have influenced my style of decorating in a very “ORGANIC” kind of way!
